What is the best fly fishing season?
The best month are May + June and September + October.
April could be very nice but before you book a trip check with us about the melting snow process!
In any way we will contact you if bad water conditions are foreseen for your booked fly fishing trip
What equipment to bring?
As an experienced fly fisher you know the basic equipment. For our listed rivers rods 7 to 9 Ft. and class #4 – #6 are required and after your personal experience.
Waders are allowed on all rivers!
A small fly fisher shop in Opponitz village offer you a various selection of flies and all small equipment or repair tools you may need.
Is there equipment for hire?
If we know in advance you need fly fishing equipment as rod, wader and flies we can provide! Rental fee € 20,-/day
On which airport will I land?
For our listed rivers the best airport for arrival and departure is VIENNA or if you can do it LINZ. Rental car is essential.
What are the distances from the airports to the fly fishing area?
From airport Linz ca. 100km
From airport Vienna ca. 200 km
Should I rent a car?
That`s what we recommend because of the different distances to the rivers or river sections on the Ybbs river.
Are there entertainment programs for the non-fishing company?
Our area provides a lot of outdoor, culture and sightseeing programs. With pleasure I help you with planning!
What is the deposit?
The deposit is 50% of the full arrangement price (credit card or bank transfer). The deposit fixes your reservation.
How is the rest of the price paid?
Cash on departure or via credit card (Please inform your bank to increase your credit card limit accordingly)
Is there a cancellation insurance?
We highly recommend to use a cancellation insurance such as is: European Travel insurance or International Travel Insurance. This are just recommendations, please feel free in using a insurance company.
Whats in case of high water level?
In this case the part of the fishing license you will have back as credit.
